It is with sadness that we announce the
death of George William LeBlanc, 90, of
Petit-Cap, NB. George passed away at his home on Friday, May
15, 2020. Born in Petit-Cap, he was a son of the late
William and Minnie (Cormier) LeBlanc.
George was a wonderful husband, father
and grandfather. His family was his life. He had fished
lobster, herring, and crab until the age of 88. In
addition, he had also enjoyed many years of boat building .
During his later years, he especially loved sharing his
passion for music and dancing. He was definitely young at
heart.
George is survived by his wife, Margaret
(nee Aasen); six children, Joanne (Daniel) Landry, Robichaud Office,
Gerry (Nancy), Cormier Village, Jean Bourque, Shediac,
Jeannette (Tommy) Halloran, Trois-Ruisseaux, Richard (Monique),
Moncton, and Karen (Robert) Wells, Sackville; sixteen
grandchildren; eleven great grandchildren; a brother Billy
(Bernice), Petit Cap; and his sisters Dorothy Jacob, Dieppe and Marie
(Henry) Fougere, Petit Cap.
Besides his parents, George was
predeceased by two sisters Lizzy Landry and Emma
Cormier.
Arrangements have been entrusted into
the care and guidance of Jones Funeral
Home, 3 West Main Street, Port Elgin
(506-364-1300). A
time of visitation will be held in the hall of the Église
de Sainte-Thérèse-D'Avila, Cap-Pele, NB on
Friday, November 6, 2020 from 6-9 pm and on Saturday, from 9 am until
the time of the funeral at 10:30 am. The
funeral will take place on Saturday, November 7, 2020 at the
Église de Sainte-Thérèse-D'Avila,
Cap-Pele with interment to follow in the Saint-Timothée
Parish Cemetery, Shemogue.
