Charles Irvin Donald
It is with great sadness that we announce the sudden passing of Charles Irvin Donald, 84, of Sackville, on Sunday, November 17, 2019 at the Saint John Regional Hospital. Born in Middle Sackville, Charlie was a son of the late Ernest and Margaret (Goodwin) Donald.
Charlie had devoted almost 30 years as a Stationary Engineer with the heating plant at Mount Allison University. He was also a member of the Lions Club of Sackville for many years, and was a talented musician who enjoyed playing on the guitar and the organ.
Charlie will be dearly missed by his wife of sixty-four years, Eleanor (nee Sears), of Sackville; a son, Kurt Donald, of Baker Lake, Nunavut; two brothers, James (Joy) Donald, Sackville and Edward (Karen) Donald, BC; as well as several nieces and nephews, close extended family of in-laws, and many dear friends.
Besides his parents, he was predeceased by a sister, Betty Sears.
Arrangements are under the care and guidance of Jones Funeral Home, 70 Bridge Street, Sackville, NB (506-364-1300). Cremation has taken place and honouring Charlie's wishes there is to be no visitation or services at this time. Donations in memory of Charlie may be made to the Midgic Baptist Church.
