It is with sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of Carrie Sybil Tower Scott, age 92, of Sackville, NB.  Carrie passed away at the Drew Nursing Home on Tuesday, July 14, 2015.

Born in Baie Verte, NB, she was a daughter of the late James G. and Gertrude (Belden) Scott.

Carrie was an active member of the St. James United Church, Baie Verte, where she belonged to the Mission Band, sang in the choir, and was Superintendent of the Sunday School.  She was also a member of the Sackville United Church where she sang in the Choir, and acted as an elder.  She was a member of the Eastern Star for 60 years.

She will be dearly missed by brother James (Carolyn) Scott, Baie Verte, sister Eileen Johnstone, Sackville, sister in law Edith Scott, Sackville; several nieces and nephews.  

She was predeceased by brothers Ralph, Burris, Vaughn and Joseph and sisters Evelyn, Dora and Emma.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Jones Funeral Home, 70 Bridge St., Sackville, NB where visiting hours will take place on Thursday from 7 to 9 pm.  The funeral service will take place at the funeral home on Friday, July 17, 2015 at 11 am, followed by a reception.  Burial will take place in the Fernwood Cemetery.

Carrie's family would like to extend heartfelt thanks to the nurses and staff of the Drew Nursing Home for the wonderful care she received over the last 6 years.
