The death of Jean Mearl Estabrooks, 75, of Amherst, and formerly of Sackville, NB, occurred at the Cumberland Regional Health Care Centre on Friday, June 19, 2015.  Born in Salisbury, Jean was a daughter of the late Alvin and Grace (Yeo) Lewis.

Jean loved the outdoors, and enjoyed sitting out in the sun.  She enjoyed visits from friends and family, and was an avid bingo player when she was able.  She loved her 'rassling' on TV.

She is survived by children Donna (Vaughn) Simon, Buctouche, Susan (George) Johnston, Eastern Passage, NS, Kathy Estabrooks, Sackville, Michael (Helen) Estabrooks, Kampala, Uganda, Nancy (Andrew) Smith, Calgary, AB, Gordon Estabrooks, Ottawa, ON, Lisa (Robert) Mosher, Summerside, PE; several grandchildren and great grandchildren; sisters, Edith Sears, Aboujagne and Linda Blackett, Middle Sackville, NB.

Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her husband Baxter; infant twins, and several brothers and sisters.

Arrangements have been entrusted into the care and guidance of Jones Funeral Home, 70 Bridge Street, Sackville, NB (506-364-1300) from where a time of visitation will be held on Monday, June, 22, 2015 from 2-4 & 6-8 pm.  A funeral service will be held from the funeral home on Tuesday at 2 pm. Rev. Vernon Vickruck presiding.  Following the funeral service, Jean will be laid to rest along side Baxter in the Four Corners Cemetery.

Donations in memory of Jean may be made to the Kidney Foundation or the Canadian Diabetes Society.
