Elsie Laura
Leaman, born October 6, 1923, went to be
with her Lord and Savior on June 17th, 2015. Born in
Cornhill, NB she was the daughter of the late Maurice and Josephine
(Harper) Branscombe.
She faithfully attended the Dorchester
United Baptist Church and was a lifetime member of the United Baptist
Women's Missionary Society. She was a member of the Sunshine
class, taught Sunday School, was a Baby Band Leader for many years,
and sang in the choir.
Elsie is survived by three sons, John
(Nancy), Neil (Marilyn), and Dean (Beverly). Also survived
by seven grandchildren, Brian (Tracey), Lisa (Jason) Ryan, Mark,
Jason, Rebecca (Tyler Lutes), Andrew (Andria) and Brendan
(Melissa). She will be missed by her precious
great-grandchildren, whom she adored, Jade, Lillian, Benjamin, and
Alistair; step great grandchildren, Tristan and Emily; a sister,
Esther Perry; sister-in-law, Freda Branscombe and several nieces and
nephews.
Elsie was predeceased by her loving
husband, Fred Leaman in 2006; a sister, Hazel Cooper, and a brother,
Ray Branscombe.
Arrangements have been entrusted to
Jones Funeral Home, 70 Bridge Street, Sackville, from where a time of
visitation will be held on Friday, June 19, 2015 from 7-9
pm. A funeral service will be held from the
funeral home on Saturday at 11 am. Rev. Phill Ferris
presiding. Following the service, Elsie will be laid to rest
along side Fred at the Fairhaven Memorial Gardens.
The family would like to thank Dr.

compassion and care.
