The death of Mabel Leona Fagan, 86, of Port Elgin, occurred on Thursday, June 11, 2015 at the Sackville Memorial Hospital.  Born in Shemogue, Mabel was a daughter of the late Joseph and Mathilde (Legere) Cormier.

She will be sadly missed by her daughters Jeanne (Stan Varner) MacLeod, Leona Guthreau and Maria Duguay, all of Port Elgin; a son, George (Phyllis Sprague) Fagan, of Port Elgin; many beloved grandchildren and great grandchildren; two sisters, Emma and Emerise Cormier and a brother Fred (Jeannine).

Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, Henry in 2001, a sister Rita, and a brother Leo.

Arrangements are under the care and guidance of Jones Funeral Home's Port Elgin Chapel, 3 West Main Street, Port Elgin (503-538-2241).  Honouring Mabel's wishes, there is to be no visitation.  A private graveside service will be held at the St. Clements Roman Catholic Cemetery at a later date.

Donations in memory of Mabel may be made to a charity of the donor's choice.
