With great sadness Cairine Heughan had to say goodbye to her husband of 63 years in Sackville, New Brunswick on Sunday May 3rd 2015.

Bob is survived by Cairine and their three children, Katherine (Les) Marlin, Cindy (Steve) Tulley and George (Pam) Heughan, as well as six grandchildren, Amanda (Nick) McLellan, Ben (Krisztina) Marlin, Curt Marlin, Chelsea Tulley, Presley and William Heughan, as well as four great grandchildren, Elsa, Camden, Alexander and Elizabeth.  He is also survived by his brother James of Ottawa.

Bob was born on July 19th 1926 in St Lambert, Quebec residing in St Lambert, Islington Ontario, Sutton Quebec and Sackville New Brunswick.  He began his career with his father’s firm as a draft person with Ross-Patterson-Townsend & Heughan in 1948.  He completed his career with the Bank of Montreal as an architect in the Premises Department, in Montreal and then in Toronto, retiring in 1991. He delighted in retirement, spending time between Sutton, and their cottage in Charlevoix Quebec.  Throughout his life he was an active member of the Presbyterian Church, holding positions on the board of managers and the session.  After a lengthy battle with respiratory illness he passed away peacefully with family at his side.  Bob was an honourable, generous and kind man, a devoted husband and father who will be dearly missed.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Jones Funeral Home, 70 Bridge St., Sackville (506-364-1300).  A funeral service will be held at St. Andrew’s Presbyterian Church, Sackville on Wednesday, May 6, 2015 at 11 am.

Donations in Bob's memory may be made to the Sackville Memorial Hospital Auxiliary.
