With great sadness Cairine Heughan had
to say goodbye to her husband of 63 years in Sackville, New Brunswick
on Sunday May 3rd 2015.
Bob is survived by Cairine and their
three children, Katherine (Les) Marlin, Cindy (Steve) Tulley and
George (Pam) Heughan, as well as six grandchildren, Amanda (Nick)
McLellan, Ben (Krisztina) Marlin, Curt Marlin, Chelsea Tulley, Presley
and William Heughan, as well as four great grandchildren, Elsa,
Camden, Alexander and Elizabeth. He is also survived by his
brother James of Ottawa.
Bob was born on July
19th 1926 in St Lambert, Quebec residing in St
Lambert, Islington Ontario, Sutton Quebec and Sackville New
Brunswick. He began his career with his father’s
firm as a draft person with Ross-Patterson-Townsend & Heughan
in 1948. He completed his career with the Bank of Montreal
as an architect in the Premises Department, in Montreal and then in
Toronto, retiring in 1991. He delighted in retirement, spending time
between Sutton, and their cottage in Charlevoix Quebec.
Throughout his life he was an active member of the Presbyterian
Church, holding positions on the board of managers and the
session. After a lengthy battle with respiratory illness he
passed away peacefully with family at his side. Bob was an
honourable, generous and kind man, a devoted husband and father who
will be dearly missed.
Arrangements have been entrusted to
Jones Funeral Home, 70 Bridge St., Sackville (506-364-1300).
A funeral service will be held at St. Andrew’s Presbyterian
Church, Sackville on Wednesday, May 6, 2015 at 11 am.
