We are deeply saddened by the passing of Marc Eric Johnson at The Moncton Hospital on Sunday, April 5, 2015 - after a second courageous battle against leukemia.

He will be dearly missed by his beloved wife Roselyn, son Joshua, mother Ruth Brown, brothers David (late Nancy Chong) and Andrew (Jane French), in-laws Rani & Bobby Padmanabhan, nieces Krupa & Gemma, and his extended families & friends in Canada, India and the USA. Predeceased by dear parents-in-law Joy & Joshua.

Marc was born in Toronto on August 9, 1957 to Ruth Brown and the late Ernest Johnson. He spent his childhood in Don Mills & downtown Toronto and later lived in the Yukon, British Columbia and New Brunswick. In his twenties Marc trained with European master cabinetmakers and ran a successful woodworking business in Toronto making custom furniture and store interiors. He later applied those skills restoring Klondike Gold Rush buildings in Dawson City, building high-end interiors in Victoria, and supervising government building maintenance in the Yukon. Marc was a Red Seal Certified Joiner and he recently established Historic Joinery in Sackville, NB.

Marc was a devout Christian who gently expressed his faith in both words and deeds. He was blessed when he met Roselyn, the Love of his Life, at Capernwray Bible School in BC. They married in 1987 and had 28 wonderful years together. They were both blessed when their son Josh was born in 1993.  Marc & family loved Canada which they explored on many cross country trips, always accompanied by their treasured dog Koshi.

Marc was a profoundly good person who loved meeting and helping people.  Most of all, he loved his family, including his extended families in Canada and India. He touched the hearts of many and was an inspiration to those who knew him. As was said about his beloved Zeyda (grandfather): "His goodness lives on in all of us".

The family thanks Dr. Sharif, the doctors, nurses and staff of Moncton Hospital  for their valiant efforts. .  We invite friends to celebrate Marc's life at 2-4pm on Sat. April 11 at Marshlands Inn, Sackville. Donations, if desired,  to the UN Refugee agency: www.unhcr.ca -  Online condolences can be made by visiting www.jonesfuneralhome.ca.
