Mary Kathleen McOuat, age 95, of Sackville, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, March 31, 2015 at the Ocean View Continuing Care Centre in Eastern Passage, NS.

Born in Sackville, she was the daughter of the late CMP (Maurice) and Kathleen (Fawcett) Fisher.

Mary served with the WREN's during World War II and was stationed in Washington, D.C.  Mary and her husband Gordon raised their family in Lachute, QC.  After Gordon's passing, Mary returned to Sackville to care for her father.  She was a long time member of St. Paul's Anglican Church, and was active in the Sackville Memorial Hospital Auxiliary, the Canadian Red Cross, as well as the Birthday and Once In A While clubs, and various town organizations.

She will be dearly missed by her children Graham (Susan), Dartmouth, NS, Alan (Lillian), Yellowknife, NWT, Ann (Robert) Graham, Pontypool, ON and Peter (Laurie), Kanata, ON. "Grannie" will be missed by her grandchildren Pam (Grant) Searle, Fraser; Karen, Andrew, Thomas; Kevin, Jennifer; Bradley, Bronwyn (Justin) Pilgrim. Sister-in-law Barbara Fisher, and several nieces and nephews.

Predeceased by her husband Gordon, and her brothers Peter and Maurice "Jake", and his wife Marjorie.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Jones Funeral Home, 70 Bridge St., Sackville, NB (506-364-1300) where visitation will take place on Friday, May 22, 2015 from 7 to 9 pm.  A funeral service will be held from St. Paul's Anglican Church, Sackville on May 23, 2015, at 2 pm, Rev. Ranall Ingalls officiating.  Burial to follow in the Sackville Cemetery.
