It is with great sadness that the family of
Raymond Anthony Cormier, 80, of Dorchester NB announces
his passing at the Moncton Hospital on Monday, March 30, 2015
following a brief illness. Raymond was born on January 31, 1935 to
Albert and Evangeline (Sonier) Cormier.
Raymond
owned and operated Cormier’s Service Station in Dorchester
for over 40 years until his retirement in 2003. Raymond was a member
of the Royal Canadian Legion and served for a brief time in the
Canadian Military.
Raymond really enjoyed
woodworking, fishing, and completing yard work during the summer
months.
He will be sadly missed by his three
sons Ron (Amy) of Middleton, Rick (Kathy) of Dorchester, Derick
(Annie) of Dieppe, his two grandchildren Raymond (Samantha) and
Ashley, both of Dorchester, as well as his great granddaughter Danika,
step granddaughters Emma and Tessa and his sister Leda Ellis of
Shediac.
Besides his parents, Raymond was
predeceased by his wife of 48 years Patricia (Gaudet) in 2008, his
grand son Jordan Cormier in 2009, and brother Laurie in 2009.
Arrangements are under the care and guidance of Jones
Funeral Home, 70 Bridge Street, Sackville (364-1300).
As
per Raymond’s wishes, there will be no public visitation or
service, donations may be made to a charity of the donors
choice.
