The death of Gerald Earl Cole, 87, of Sackville, occurred at the Sackville Memorial Hospital on Sunday, March 29, 2015.  Gerald was born February 2, 1928 a son of the late James and Ila (Wry) Cole.

Gerald worked at the Enterprise Foundry from the age of 14 until his retirement in 1992.  He was a devoted member of the Salem Baptist Church, spending several years as a Deacon and Trustee.


He will be sadly missed by his wife, the former Queenie Rector, Sackville; sons Norman (Susan), Sackville, Eric (Patricia), Calgary; a daughter, Linda (John) Gogan, Tony Bay, NS; daughter-in-law Wanda Cole, Summerside; five grandchildren; four great grandchildren; one great great grandchild, and a sister Shirley (Gordon) Partridge Irvin, Oshawa.  

Besides his parents, Gerald was predeceased by his first wife Dorothy Irene Murray; a son, Larry; brothers Sherman, Willy, Norman, Ralph and Herbie, and sisters Fern Cole, Zora Mitton; Violet Estabrooks, Beulah Ward, Inez Tower, and Doris Melanson.


Funeral Arrangements are in the care and guidance of Jones Funeral Home, 70 Bridge St., Sackville, (364-1300) from where a time of visitation will take place on Tuesday, March 31, 2015 from 2-4 & 7-9 pm.  A funeral service will be held from the funeral home on Wednesday, April 1, 2015 at 2 pm.  Burial will take place in the Sackville Cemetery in the Spring.
