The death of George Linton Estabrooks, 85, of Sackville,
occurred suddenly on Friday, February 20, 2015. George was
born in Midgic, the second child of Tory and Fida (Throop)
Estabrooks.
George was a kind and gentle man
and an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed hunting, fishing, and
trapping. He was known for his skill in smoking
Gaspereau. He was a tremendous family man and set the
standard for care and attention. He will be deeply missed by
his family and everyone who knew him.
He will
be sadly missed by two step-sons; John (Evelyn) Richardson and Ernest
(Alicia) Richardson; several step-grandchildren, and step-great
grandchildren as well as two nieces, Linda (Rod) Cunningham and
Patricia (John Jamieson) Allen.
Besides his parents, he was predeceased by his wife the former
Mildred Sears; a step-son, Merville and a sister Rita
Estabrooks.
Funeral arrangements are under the
care and guidance of Jones Funeral Home, 70 Bridge Street, Sackville
(364-1300) from where a time of visitation will be held 2-4 and 7-9 pm
on Monday, February 23, 2015. A funeral service will be held
at the funeral home on Tuesday, February 24, 2015 at 2 pm.
Reverend Dr. Ranall Ingalls officiating.
