It is with sadness that we announce the passing of Carman
Hugh Hicks, age 92, of Sackville, NB. Carman passed away
peacefully, with his family by his side, at the Sackville Memorial
Hospital on Tuesday, February 10, 2015.
Born in
Midgic, NB, he was a son of the late Arden and Ruby (Chase)
Hicks.
Carman was a member of the Midgic
Baptist Church. He worked at Enterprise Foundry, General
Electric and Moloney Electric.
He
will be sadly missed by his two sons, Larry (Alphonsine) of Riverview
and Victor (Donna) of Sackville; five grandchildren and seven great
grandchildren as well as two sisters Erma Bulmer and Daphne (Dick)
Harvey, both of Sackville, sister-in-laws Francis Hicks and Eunice
Hicks, both of Sackville, Betty Wheaton of Midgic and brother-in-law
Del Wheaton of Sackville, and several nieces and nephews.
Besides his wife Gracie he was predeceased by one
grandson Gregory; four brothers, Calvin, Floyd, Merlin, and
Roland.
Arrangements have been entrusted to
Jones Funeral Home, 70 Bridge St., Sackville, NB (506-364-1300) where
visiting hours will be held on Thursday from 7 to 9 pm. The
funeral will be held at the funeral home on Friday, February 13, 2015
at 2 pm, Pastor Hal Lowther officiating. Burial will take
place in the Sackville Cemetery in the spring. Further time
to share memories and a cup of tea will follow in the Jones Funeral
Home reception room.
