Arthur Brae Turner, age 87, of Sackville, passed away
peacefully at the Moncton Hospital on Monday, February 9, 2015.
Born in Sackville, NB, he was a son of the late Brae
and Pearl (Allen) Turner.
A caring and devoted
father and grandfather, Arthur built his own home in 1953 and raised
his family there. He enjoyed his horses and always remembered the
special dogs in his life. He worked for more than fifty years at
Enterprise Foundry. He had a kind and gentle spirit that touched
everyone around him.
He will be sadly missed by
his children Rosemary (Jane), Ronald (Carla) and Rodney (Darlene), all
of Sackville and daughter-in-law Donna Fillmore, of Dorchester; 3
brothers, Douglas of Sackville, Walter of Cambridge, ON, and David of
Dartmouth, NS; 2 sisters, Pearling (Ralph) Ripley, Maccan,
NS, and Dorothy (Donald) Hicks, of Sackville, as well as his beloved
grandchildren Shannon (Danielle), Jordan, Logan, Jocelyn, Samantha,
Katelynn and Stephanie; great grandchildren Olivia and Sophie; and
several nieces and nephews.
He is predeceased
by his wife Kay (Catherine) in 2014, his son William, brothers Harold
and Clarence.
Arrangements are under the care
and guidance of Jones Funeral Home, 70 Bridge Street, Sackville
(506-364-1300) from where visitation will be held on Tuesday from 7 to
9 pm. A funeral service for Arthur will be held on
Wednesday, February 11, 2015 at 6 pm from the funeral home.
Pastor Hal Lowther officiating. Interment will be in the
Sackville Cemetery in the Spring.
