It is with deep sadness that the family of
Charlotte Estabrooks announces her sudden
passing on Monday, January 5, 2015 surrounded by her family, at the
Drew Nursing Home.
Born in Midgic, she was a daughter of the late Avard and
Bertha Hicks.
In earlier years, she loved to
crochet and enjoyed bowling. She retired from Mount Allison
University in 1996.
Charlotte will be lovingly
remembered by her children, Daniel (Susan) Midgic, Stephen (Cheryl),
Gary (Cheryl), Carlyn and James (Rhonda) all of Sackville, one sister
Betty (Clarence) Wheaton; of Midgic, one brother, Vaughan (Norma) of
Sackville; sister in law, Jackie Hicks of Oshawa; eleven
grandchildren; fourteen great grandchildren and several nieces and
nephews.
Besides her parents, she was
predeceased by her husband Carman; infant daughter, Agnes Charlotte;
sister Phyllis (Horace) Wry, and a brother, Carvell Hicks.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Jones Funeral
Home, 70 Bridge Street, Sackville (364-1300), from where visitation
will take place on Thursday, January 8, 2015 from 7-9 pm.
The funeral service will be held at the funeral home on Friday,
January 9, 2015 at 2 pm with Rev. Vernon Vickruck
officiating. Burial will take place at a later date in the
Midgic Cemetery.
Donations in memory of
Charlotte may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society, Canadian
Diabetes Association, The Middle Sackville Baptist Church, or a
charity of one's choice.
