It is with sadness that the family announces the death of
Lawrence Carl Trenholm, age 93, of Murray
Corner which occurred December 28, 2014 at the Kenneth E. Spencer
Memorial Home, Moncton. He was born on August 22, 1921, the
son of the late Reta Crawford and Reed Trenholm.
Lawrence spent 40 years as a fish wholesaler operating Trenholm
Fish throughout the Maritime Provinces. He was a founding
member of Ocean View Pentecostal Church. He was a member of
the Royal Canadian Legion, Cape Tormentine.
He
is survived by his wife of seventy years, Silva Pauley, of
Moncton; 2 daughters, Anne (Earl) Pauley, Bunberry, PEI and
Bonnie (Robert) Goodwin, Shediac Cape, NB; 5 grandchildren, Terry,
Stacey & Jeffrey, Nathan & Mark; several great
grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
Lawrence was the last surviving member of his immediate
family. He was predeceased by his parents; a brother,
Kenneth, and a sister Jenny Allen.
Arrangements
are under the care and supervision of Jones Funeral Home, from where a
funeral service will be held from their Port Elgin location, 3 West
Main Street (506-538-2241) on Tuesday, June 30, 2015 at 2 pm. Rev. Dr.
L. D. Buckingham presiding.
Cape Tormentine, Branch 81 of the Royal Canadian Legion will
be holding a memorial service at 1:45 pm.
Burial will follow in the Fernwood Cemetery.
Donations in memory of Lawrence may be made to a charity of
the donor's choice.
