It is with sadness that we must announce the passing of Joyce Muriel Selig, age 82, of Point De Bute.  Joyce passed away peacefully at the Westford Nursing Home on Friday, December 19, 2014.

Born in Ottawa, ON, she was a daughter of the late Henry and Rebecca (Dundas) Hobbs.

Joyce was a member of the Point De Bute Women's Institute.  She was a dedicated wife who supported her husband throughout his military career.  After their retirement, she and her husband moved to Point de Bute to be closer to family.

The last surviving member of her immediate family, she was predeceased by her husband William "Bill"; brother Leonard, sisters Irene, Hazel and Violet.  She will be dearly missed by her nieces Margaret (Roger) Urquhart, Louise (Wayne) Phinney, Dianne (Austin) Allen, Debbie (Neil) Copp, Helen (Bryan) Allen, Lorraine (Dennis) Lewis, and Ruth (Randy) Copp, and nephew Danny MacKenzie, as well as many great and great great nieces and nephews.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Jones Funeral Home, 70 Bridge St., Sackville, NB (506-364-1300) where visiting hours will take place on Sunday from 2 to 4 pm.  The funeral service will be held at Jones Funeral Home, Sackville on Monday, December 22, 2014 at 3 pm, William Drysdale, DLM officiating.  Burial will take place in the Point De Bute Cemetery.  Following the funeral, all are invited to a time of refreshment.
