After a long and beautiful life, Lorraine D Legere of Port Elgin passed away at the Westford Nursing Home on Friday, December 19, 2014 while surrounded by her loving family.  Lorraine, widow of Rudolph, was only weeks from her 91st birthday.

Born in Cap-Pele, NB, she was a daughter of the late Alphee and Alice (Melanson) Fougere.

Lorraine was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother who always put her family first.  She was a faithful member of St. Clement's Church, Port Elgin, the St. Clement's CWL, as well as a member of the Club d'age d'or de Shemogue.

Lorraine will be forever remembered by her children, Roger (Mollie), Riverview, Camille (Janice), Jerry (Patricia), both of Port Elgin, and Murray, Sackville, Annette (Bruce) Carter, Murray Corner;  11 grandchildren; 10 great grandchildren and another anticipated in April; sister; Regina Ouellette, Shediac, NB; several nieces and nephews

She was predeceased by her husband Rudolph; infant daughter Mary; brothers; Gerard and Paul.

Family and friends will gather to visit with the family and share stories at the Jones Funeral Home's Life Tribute Centre, 3 West Main St., Port Elgin, NB (538-2241) on Sunday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm.  Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Clement's Roman Catholic Church, Port Elgin, on Monday, December 22, 2014 at 2 pm, Father Allison Carroll officiating.  Following burial in the parish cemetery, all are invited back to the parish hall for a reception.
