It is with sadness that we must announce the passing of
Bertha Richard, age 83, of Sackville. Bertha passed away
peacefully at the Sackville Memorial Hospital surrounded by her loving
family on Saturday, November 22, 2014.
Born in
Memramcook, NB, she was a daughter of the late Joseph and Evangeline
(Cormier) LeBlanc.
A loving wife, mother and
grandmother, family was very important to her and she enjoyed all the
time she had with them. She was a very crafty lady who loved
to sew, quilt and knit. She enjoyed listening to all kinds
of country music and attending Karaoke.
She will be sadly missed by her son Roger, Sackville, and
daughters; Jeannette (Allan) Richard, Sackville, and Joanne (Irois)
Cormier, Cap-Pele, 8 grandchildren, 9 great grandchildren, 1 great
great grandson; sister Clara Bourgeois, Memramcook; half-sister
Therese (Oscar) Richard, Lila Gautreau, (Victor Bourque)
both of St. Anselme, half-brother Walter (Yvonne) LeBlanc, Donald
(Carm) LeBlanc, Eugene (Carol), all of Memramcook.
Predeceased by her husband Joseph, sister Marie LeBlanc, Rita
Gould, brother, Yvon LeBlanc, half-brother Leonard LeBlanc
Arrangements have been entrusted to Jones Funeral
Home, 70 Bridge St., Sackville, NB (506-364-1300) where visiting hours
will take place on Monday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm. Funeral
Mass will be celebrated at St. Vincent's Roman Catholic Church,
Sackville on Tuesday, November 25, 2014 at 11 am, Father Allison
Carroll officiating. Burial will follow in the Holy Rosary
Cemetery. A reception will be held at the Jones Funeral Home
following the burial.
