It is with heavy hearts that the family of Harold Bernard
Milton announce his passing on Friday, February 3, 2012, at the
Moncton City Hospital at the age of 80. Born in Sackville,
Harold was a son of the late Bernard and Pearl (Bulmer) Milton.
Harold was a proud veteran of the Korean War having
received his Korean Medal, UN Medal and Paratrooper Wings. He always
had, and enjoyed his dogs; most recently 'Tootsie'.
He will be sadly missed by a son, Harold "Skipper", of
Cambridge, ON; two daughters, Colleen (Frank) Hasiak, of Trenton, ON
and Suzanne (Peter) Groh, of Cambridge, ON; two grandchildren, Mark
and Krista; four great grandchildren, Julia, Iain, Alex, and Kira, as
well as his companion, Betty Hopper, of Pinellas Park, FLA.
Besides his parents, Harold was predeceased by his
wife, Roberta; and a son, Bernard.
The family
wishes to acknowledge other family members and friends who share in
our grief at this time.
Harold's remains have
been cremated under the care and supervision of Jones Funeral Home, 70
Bridge Street, Sackville (364-1300). A visitation will be
held from the funeral home on Friday, February 10, 2012 from 12 pm
until the time of the funeral at 2 pm. Pastor Andrew Swanson
officiating. The Sackville Branch of the Royal Canadian
Legion, #26, will conduct a Legion memorial service on Friday at 1:45
pm. Interment will be held at a later date.
Donations in Harold's memory can be made to the Royal
Canadian Legion Branch #26, or the Heart and Stroke
Foundation.
