Lila Savoie, age 69 of Shemogue, passed away peacefully on Friday, January 20, 2012 at the Moncton  Hospital. Born in Little Shemogue, she was daughter of the late Donville and Theda Walton.

Lila enjoyed playing cards, watching her grandson play hockey and baby sitting all the kids in Shemogue. She enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her grandson Dylan.

Lila will be sadly missed by her son, Stanleigh "Stauch" (Monique Melanson) Walton of Shemogue; grandson, Dylan Walton; brother, Stanley Walton; three sisters, Devona Murray, Alma (Edward) Spence, Priscilla (Gordon) Knott, and Josephine (Brian) Richard; special niece, Brenda, as well as several other nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by brothers, Wyman Walton, Johnny Walton, Edward Walton, and Joseph Duguay.

Cremation has taken place under the care and supervision of Jones Funeral Home, 3 W. Main Street, Port Elgin (538-2241). Visitation will take place on Wednesday, January 25, 2012 from 2-4 and 7-9 PM at the Club d'Age d'Or, Shemogue. A Funeral Mass will be held on Thursday, January 26, 2012 at 11 AM from St. Timothee RC Church, Shemogue. Those wishing to make a donation in memory of Lila may do so to the Family.
