LEGERE, Kenneth Joseph Eric – Ken Legere, beloved
husband for 54 years of the late Mae Legere of Cape Tormentine, died
Wednesday January 11, 2012 at Moncton Hospital at the age of
79. Death was a result of injuries from the motor vehicle
accident in which Mae had died two weeks ago. Born July 21,
1932 in Port Elgin, Ken was the son of the late Joseph Emery Legere
and Marie Rosalie Colburn.
Ken is survived by
sons Terry (Linda) of Rockland Ontario, Todd (Nancy) of Fredricton,
Tim (Ellen) of Ajax Ontario and grandchildren: Sandy, Liz, Quinn,
Marcus, Mike and Jodi. Also survived by sisters Florence
Trenholm (late Ralph) of Port Elgin, Eileen Allen (late Victor) of
Sarnia Ontario and Oneva Allen of Stoney Creek Ontario and brothers
Lawrence (Rose Marie) of Cambridge Ontario and Paul (Ida) of
Dieppe. Ken will also be missed by sister-in-law Jeannie and
brothers-in-law Gordon (Florence) and Bob (Leanice) and numerous
nieces and nephews.
Besides his parents and
wife, Ken was predeceased by a stillborn child, sisters Charmaine and
Caroline and brothers Robert and Reginald.
Cremation has been arranged under the care and supervision of
Jones Funeral Home, 3 West Main Street, Port Elgin
(538-2241). Donations may be made to the the Neurology ICU
Unit of the Moncton Central Hospital (Moncton), the Westford Nursing
Home (Port Elgin) or the charity of your choice.
A Celebration of Life for both Ken and Mae will be held at
1:00p.m. on Saturday, May 5, 2012 at the East Botsford Recreation
Centre, Murray Corner (538-2962).
