Emile LeBlanc, age 96, of Shemogue, passed away peacefully at
the Sackville Memorial Hospital on Friday, January 6, 2012. Born in
Little Cape, he was a son of the late Dosithe and Melanie (Legere)
LeBlanc.
Emile was hard worker,
spending many years cutting wood and working on his farm. He enjoyed
his pick-up trucks and owned over 40 through the years.
Emile will be sadly missed by his four children,
Helene (Gerald) Breau of Ontario, Donald (Lorraine) LeBlanc of
Shemogue, Doreen (Frank) Miltenburg of Ontario, and Reginald
(Gisele) LeBlanc of Shemogue; 12 grandchildren; 27 great
grandchildren; half brother, Robert (Dora) Cullen of Shemogue, as well
as several nieces and nephews.
He was
predeceased by his wife, the former Laura Cormier, a son Dosithe in
infancy; a special adopted daughter, Emily; sister, Marie; brothers,
Tim, Laurie, and Leonce.
Arrangements have been
entrusted to Jones Funeral Home, 3 W. Main Street, Port Elgin
(538-2241). Visitation will take place on Monday, January 9, 2012,
from 2-4 & 7-9 pm at the Club d'Age d'Or, Shemogue. A funeral
Mass will be held on Tuesday, January 10, 2012 at 11 am, from St.
Timothee RC Church, Shemogue. Those wishing to make a donation in
memory of Emile may do so to the St. Timothee Parish Cemetery.
