M. Isabel Larsen
1921-2010
The death of Isabel Larsen, 89, of Port Elgin,
occurred suddenly at the Westford Nursing Home on Thursday, July 8,
2010. Born in Port Elgin, she was a daughter of the late
George and Anne (Legere) LeBlanc.
Isabel enjoyed knitting and rocking in her chair. A
devoted wife and mother, she loved the children and never failed to
ask about them.
Isabel will be sadly missed by
her daughter Margaret (Allen) McGlashing, Melrose, 3 grandchildren,
Shelly (Arthur) Mallery, Cape Tormentine, Gail (Mike Cormier)
McGlashing, Amherst, and Michael (Heather) McGlashing, Sackville, 6
great grandchildren, Justin (Julie), Adam (Montana), Lindsay,
Marsha, Presley and Becky; four great-great-grandchildren,
Jayden, Hunter, Baden, Mya and Destiny; three sisters, Matilda
(Ronald) Allen, Rita Trenholm, Doris (Albert) Spencer; a
sister-in-law, Marie LeBlanc; many nieces and nephews.
Besides her parents, Isabel was
predeceased by her husband of 62 years, Ronald; one sister, Marjorie
Cormier and two brothers, Edward and Adelard.
Isabel's arrangements have been entrusted into the
care and supervision of Jones Funeral Home, 3 West Main Street, Port
Elgin, NB (538-2241), from where visitation will be held
7-9pm on Friday, July 9, 2010. A funeral service
will be held from the funeral home at 11 am on Saturday, July 10,
2010. William Drysdale, DLM officiating. Following
the service, Isabel will be laid to rest along side her husband at the
Fernwood Cemetery.

charity of the donor's choice.
