Marion Edith Patterson

Marion Edith Patterson of Sackville, passed away peacefully at the Drew Nursing Home on Sunday, February 21, 2010, after a lengthy illness.

Born in Winnipeg, she was a daughter of the late Ernest and Violet (Hunt) Patterson.  She was predeceased by her husband, John Robert.  She is survived by her five children John (Julie) of Vancouver, Marilyn (Ernie) St. Pierre of Kelowna, Derek (Carolyn) of Victoria, Karen (Scott) Farrell of Halifax, and Heather (Bill Evans) of Sackville.  She was very proud of her 13 grandchildren and 5 great children.

Marion had a life long love affair with cooking and devoted much of her time to collecting recipes and cookbooks.  Everyone who knew her as a younger woman benefited from her skills.

The whole family is grateful to Marion’s dear friend and caregiver, Vangie LeBlanc, and Dr. Popma for their many kindnesses over the years of Marion’s illness.

Arrangements have been entrusted to the Jones Funeral Home, 70 Bridge St., Sackville (506-364-1300).  Cremation has taken place.  There will be no visitation or services.  Donations to the Lung Association would be welcomed.
