It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Elaine Edith Landry, age 89, of Sackville, NB.  Elaine passed away peacefully, surrounded by loving family, in the Sackville Memorial Hospital on Monday, February 17, 2020.

Born in Midgic, NB, she was a daughter of the late Henry and Dolly (Sears) Hicks.

Elaine was great with her hands, known for her crocheting and knitting.  She loved the outdoors and enjoyed camping with family and friends.  

Elaine will be dearly missed by her children Edith Peck, Amherst, Pat Cole, Sackville, Larry (Shirley), Sackville, Nancy (David) Purdy, Sackville; 11 grandchildren and several great grandchildren; brother Austin (Joan) Hicks, Sackville; sister-in-law Pauline Hicks, Sackville; brother-in-law Bob Shay; several nieces and nephews. 

She was predeceased by her husband Edward J; sons Dale and Bruce; brother Blaine Hicks and sister Yvonne Shay; sister-in-law Carol Hicks.

Arrangements are under the care and guidance of Jones Funeral Home, 70 Bridge Street, Sackville (506-364-1300).  A graveside service will be held in the Sackville Cemetery on Monday, July 13, at 11 am, Father Broderick officiating.  All are welcome to attend.  Please respect Social Distancing, and come prepared to wear a mask when social distancing is unable.

Donations in memory of Elaine may be made to a charity of the donor's choice.
