It is with sadness we announce the
passing of James Edward "Jimmy"
Carson, 90, of Sackville. Jimmy passed away peacefully
at the Drew Nursing home on Monday, February 3, 2020, surrounded by
his loving family.
Born in Baie Verte, NB, he was a son of
the late Lorenzo and Mary (Hunter) Carson.
A hard working man, Jimmy belonged to
the United Steel Workers. He was a volunteer of the
Sackville Fire Department, and attended the Sackville United
Church. He loved to farm, and being around horses.
Jimmy will be dearly missed by his wife,
Phyllis (Fagan), Sackville; their children, Donnie, Amherst, NS, Bob
(Dianne) Carson, Sackville, and Barbie (Roland) Crossman, Sackville; 7
grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren; several nieces and
nephews.
He was predeceased by Donnie's wife,
Barbara (Carroll) Carson; grandson Logan Crossman; sisters
Catherine Reid, Evelyn Beal Lane; brother
Cecil.
Arrangements are under the care and
supervision of Jones Funeral Home, 70 Bridge St., Sackville, NB
(506-364-1300). Visitation will be held 6 to 8 pm on Thursday,
February 6, 2020. A funeral service celebrating Jimmy's life
will take place on Friday, February 7, 2020 at 2pm, Rev. Lloyd Bruce
officiating. Interment will be held in the Sackville
Cemetery in the spring.
