It is with deep sadness we announce the
passing of Marlene Elizabeth White, of
Moncton after an unexpected short illness. Marlene passed away
peacefully at the Sackville Memorial Hospital on Thursday, January 30,
2020, surrounded by her loving family.
Born in Sydney, NS, she was a daughter
of the late Gilbert and Evelyn (Fewer) White.
She loved children, animals and being
surrounded by nature. Marlene had a kind heart and always
put others ahead of herself. After retiring from the Atlantic Lottery
she volunteered at the Ronald MacDonald Room and for Birth Right,
devoting much of her free time to these organizations. She also
donated what she could to countless
charities.
She will be dearly missed by her
children Jennifer White (Jason Wells), Riverview, NB, Alana (Peter)
Geddes, Halifax, NS, Todd (Tracy) MacNeil, Upper Rawdon, NS;
grandchildren, Reid Geddes, Kyle and Brianna MacNeil; sister Joan
Hansen; brother Tony White; partner, Frank Veitenheimer, Moncton, NB,
and her beloved dog Niki, and cats Princess and Marty.
She was predeceased by her sister Judy
(Fred) Grezel.
Arrangements are under the care and
guidance of the Jones Funeral Home, 70
Bridge Street, Sackville, NB (506-364-1300). Funeral Mass
will be celebrated at St. Augustine's Roman Catholic Church in
Moncton, Father Angus Johnston officiating, on Tuesday, February 4,
2020 at 11 am.
Donations in Marlene's memory may be
made to the Ronald McDonald Room, Moncton, or to the charity of the
donor's choice.
