Robert Daniel Walton, 72, passed away peacefully at the Moncton Hospital on Saturday January 25, 2020.  Born February 10, 1947, he was the son of Willard and Daisy Walton of Port Elgin.

Robert worked driving truck for J.W. Baughan Transport for twenty years and worked for Heritage Management for another twenty.  He had strong work ethics and enjoyed his job and the people he worked with.

Robert enjoyed his family and friends, always helping with fairy gardens, renovating his house, listening to old country music with his grandson Damon, and was always available to help his friends in time of need.

Robert will be sadly missed by his wife of 42 years, Sally (Holmes) Walton; his children, Donna (Matt) MacLeod; Jodie (Tina) Suley; grandchildren Tyson, Catelyn, Brooklyn, and Damon, as well as his great grandchildren and his very good friend Mark Roach.

Robert maintained his positive attitude throughout his 3 1/2 year battle with cancer.  The family would like to acknowledge the help and support he receive from family physician, Dr. John Park, Dr. Mahmoud Abdelsalam, and Ian Chute, as well as the Oncology Clinic Staff and volunteers at the Moncton Hospital who were always there for help and support, as well as Dr. Santo Filice and Oncology Staff with the Dr. Georges L. Dumont Hospital.

Arrangements are under the care and guidance of the Jones Funeral Home, 70 Bridge Street, Sackville (506-364-1300).  In accordance with the families wishes, there will be no funeral service at this time. A memorial service will be planned at a later date in 2020.  The family invites you to sign the online book of condolences at www.jonesfuneralhome.ca or through the Jones Funeral Home Facebook Page.

In lieu of flowers, donations in Robert's memory may be made to the Canadian Lung Cancer Association or to the charity of the donor's choice.
