It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Jennie Arlene Wheaton, age 93, at the Moncton Hospital. Jennie passed away on Thursday, January 23, 2020.  Born in Sackville NB on April 30, 1926, she was the daughter of the late Frank and Lona (Crossman) Fillmore.

Jennie was a member of the Main Street Baptist Church. She loved cooking and baking and looked forward to visits from her family.  She was kind hearted, generous and never known to turn anyone away in need. Jennie was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother.

Jennie leaves behind two sons, Kendall (Helen) of Ottawa, Stephen (Marnie) of Prince George, BC; a daughter Lois (Herb) Taber of Sackville; six grandchildren, and several great-grandchildren. She will also be missed by three sisters, Alice Ward, Moncton, Faye (Raymond) Tremblay, Moncton and Frances (Leo Poirier) (Beale) Sackville;  a brother Frank Jr. (June), Sackville, as well as two sisters-in-law, Lee Fillmore, Fredericton and Mary Fillmore, Port Elgin and several nieces and nephews.

Besides her parents she was predeceased by her husband Kenneth Wheaton (2012); three brothers,  Kenneth, Arnold and Lincoln, and a sister Ruby.

Arrangements are under the care and supervision of Jones Funeral Home, 70 Bridge Street, Sackville. A time of visitation will be held at the funeral home on Saturday, January 25, 2019 from 1 pm until the time of the funeral at 2 pm.  Interment will take place in the Sackville Cemetery in the Spring.
