It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Victor Joseph Burke, age 74, of Sackville.  Victor passed away peacefully at the Sackville Memorial Hospital on Monday, December 9, 2019.

Born in Sackville, NB, he was a son of the late Frank and Sylvia (Comeau) Burke.

Victor worked at Mount Allison University until his retirement in 2009.  He loved bowling, hockey and baseball.  A man of strong faith, he has been a member of St. Vincent's Roman Catholic Church all his life.

Victor is survived by his nephew Colin (Donna) Burke, great nephew Myles; and cousin Leonard Burke all of Sackville.

Besides his parents, Victor was predeceased by his brother Rene (Thelma); nephew Jason; cousin Gary Fagan.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Jones Funeral Home, 70 Bridge St., Sackville, NB (506-364-1300).  Funeral Mass for Victor will be celebrated from St. Vincent's Roman Catholic Church, Sackville, Thursday, December 12, 2019 at 11 am, Father Allison Carroll officiating.  Burial will follow in the parish cemetery.
