It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Doris Marie Daigle, 71, of Washington St. Moncton, NB on November 18, 2019.  Born in Sackville, NB, November 21, 1947, Doris was the daughter of the late Cedric and Dorothy (Stokes) Ward.

Doris loved to take care of her family and friends and do anything she could to help someone.  She loved cooking, knitting, quilting, sewing and crafts of most kinds.  She spent a lot of her time making things for others, most recently knitting winter hats for St. Michael’s Beavers, Cubs, Scouts, Venturers and the Adult Scouters, she knitted baby hats for the two Moncton Hospitals, and the IWK as well as finger puppets and little teddy bears. 

Doris was a member of St. Anne’s Anglican Church and was also a former member of Eastern Star, Chapter # 21, Sussex, NB.

Doris will be deeply missed by her children, Gloria (James) Read, Riverview, NB, Gordon (Tracy L’Abbe) Estabrooks, Eastern Passage, NS, Glen (Emily) Estabrooks, Bedford, NS, and Cheryl (Steven Smith) Estabrooks of Moncton, NB; Twelve grandchildren, Four great- grandchildren; and her brother Bedford (Donna) Ward, Sackville, NB.

She was predeceased by her husband Louis in 2007, her sister and brother-in-law, Barbara and Duane Sears.

Arrangements are under the care and guidance of Jones Funeral Home, 70 Bridge Street, Sackville (506-364-1300) from where a time of visitation will be held on Friday, November 22, 2019 from 6-8 pm.  A funeral service will be held at St. Anne's Anglican Church, British Settlement, NB on Saturday at 3 pm with interment to follow in the Westcock Cemetery.  Father Craig O'Brien presiding.
