It is with sadness that we announce the passing of Irvin Brian Hicks, 68, of Riverview, and formerly of Midgic, NB, on Thursday, November 14, 2019 at the Moncton Hospital.  Born in Sackville, Irvin was a son of the late Rufus and Marion (Breau) Hicks.

Irvin was a member of the Riverview Congregation of Jehovah's Witnesses.  

Irvin had grown up as a farmer and worked as a mechanic for many years in Sackville.  He also worked at Cape Bald Packers.

Despite his health challenges, he maintained a strong faith in his Creator, Jehovah.

He will be sadly missed by his sister, Elizabeth (Robert) Mallory, Port Elgin, NB; as well as several nieces, and nephews, and cousins.

Besides his parents, Irvin was predeceased by his sister, Myrna (Donald) MacKay.

Arrangements are under the care and guidance of Jones Funeral Home, 70 Bridge Street, Sackville (506-364-3100).  A funeral service will be held at the funeral home on Saturday, November 23, 2019 at 2 pm.  

Donations in memory of Irvin may be made to the Canadian Diabetes Association.
