It is with profound sadness that we announce the sudden
passing of Bernice Margaret Emmerson, 69,
of Dorchester, at the Sackville Memorial Hospital, on Thursday,
November 8, 2018.
Born in Moncton, Bernice was a daughter of the late Albert
and Rachael (Berry) Teed.
Bernice was a much adored waitress with Borden's Restaurant
for over 22 years. She loved bingo and a good game of cards,
especially Auction 45's. She loved life and will be dearly missed by
all who knew her. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and
great grandmother.
Bernice will be sadly missed by her husband of fifty-one
years, Reg Emmerson, of Dorchester; her daughter, Denise (Mike Nye)
Harrison, of Dorchester; four grandchildren, Dana, Kesha, Kara, and
Kayla; three great grandchildren, Chelsea, Annabella, and Leah;
siblings, Ronnie, Sandra, Paul, Sheila, Jean, and Mary, as well as
many nieces and nephews.
Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her son David and
several brothers and sisters.
Arrangements are under the care and guidance of
Jones Funeral Home, 70 Bridge Street,
Sackville (506-364-1300) from where a time of visitation will be held
on Tuesday, November 13, 2018 from 6-8 pm. A funeral service will be
held at the funeral home on Wednesday at 2 pm. Interment will follow
in the St. Edward's Roman Catholic Cemetery,
Dorchester.
Donations in memory of Bernice may be made to the Canadian
Diabetes Association.
