The death of Betty Anne
McWhirter, 62, of Jolicure, occurred at the Moncton
Hospital on Sunday, August 26, 2018. Born in Amherst, Betty
Anne was a daughter of Arthur and the late Margerite
Holland.
Betty Anne had worked at the Sackville
Co-Op and the Amherst Canadian Tire for many years in addition to a
period in Calgary with a large chartered accounting firm. She enjoyed
time at the beach and giving gifts to her family and
friends. Most recently she made a cat quilt for her
grandson, Easton. She was a kind, generous and loving person
who never had a bad word for anyone. She was proud of her
family and enjoyed spending time with her dad in Amherst.
She was a dedicated and loving wife and daughter, mother, grandmother,
and friend.
She will be deeply missed by her husband
of fourty-three years, Sidney McWhirter, of Jolicure; two sons, Jamie
McWhirter, of Amherst and Evan McWhirter, at home; a grandson and the
love of her life, Easton McWhirter, of Amherst, her father, Arthur
Holland, of Amherst; her best friend, Jean Harrison of Amherst, as
well as several nieces, nephews, extended family and dear
friends.
Besides her mother, Betty Anne was
predeceased by her sister, Brenda Holland.
Arrangements are under the care and
guidance of Jones Funeral Home, 70 Bridge
Street, Sackville (506-364-1300). Honouring Betty Anne's
wishes, there will be no visitation or funeral services.
