It is with deep sadness that we announce
the passing of Orland Joseph Pauley, age
83, of Sackville. Peacefully, in the parking lot of the
Sackville Memorial Hospital, Orland passed away, seated behind the
wheel of his car, where he loved to be, on Tuesday, June 19,
2018.
Born in Upper Cape, NB, he was a son of
the late Thomas and Marion (Williams) Pauley.
Orland sold cars for 58 years, his
kindness was immeasurable, and he made friends with everyone he came
into contact with. He couldn't travel anywhere without being
stopped by an old customer/friend with a story of how he touched their
lives. He often worked into the night ensuring that everyone
was looked after, while still, always finding time for his family.
He was a former member of the Sackville Lion's
Club. Orland was always a dedicated and proud father,
grandfather and great grandfather.
He will be dearly missed by his wife,
Evelyn (Beck) Pauley; sons Stephen (Charlene) Pauley, Duane (Susan)
Pauley; daughter, Gaelene (James) Parsons, all of Sackville, NB; 7
grandchildren; 10 great grandchildren; one sister, Eleanor Scott,
Sackville, NB; various nieces and nephews
Besides his parents, he was predeceased
by his brother Alonzo.
Arrangements are under the care and
guidance of Jones Funeral Home, 70 Bridge
St, Sackville (506-364-1300) from where a time of visitation will be
held on Thursday, June 21, 2018 from 2 until 4 pm, and 6 until 8
pm. His funeral service will be held on Friday, June 22,
2018 at 3 pm, Rev. Lloyd Bruce officiating.
Donations in memory of Orland may be
made to the Canadian Diabetes Association, Parkinson's Society or the
Alzheimer's Society.
