It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of R. Gregory Olive, 58, of Fairfield, Westmorland Co, NB, surrounded by his beloved family at his home, on Sunday, June 3, 2018.

Greg loved music, playing his guitar and singing.  He was an avid salmon fisherman and outdoorsman who especially enjoyed his time on the Miramichi River.  Greg was a devoted father and grandfather who always made time for his family and friends, making them smile with his songs on the front porch. 

He will be dearly missed by his wife and best friend of thirty-four years, Karen-Anne (nee Cormier); three children, Katelyn (Adam Phinney), Raym Olive, and Guy Olive; three grandchildren, Gaige, Trenton, and Crystianna, all of Fairfield; his mother, Margaret Olive, Moncton; his sister, Diana, BC; his aunts, Janet McNutt, and Diane Phillips, and close cousins, Roy Olive and Bob Bowser.

Greg was predeceased by his beloved father, Raymond Guy Olive.

Arrangements are under the care and guidance of Jones Funeral Home, 70 Bridge Street, Sackville (506-364-1300).  There will be an afternoon of remembrance at the funeral home to celebrate Greg's life, 2-4 pm, Friday, June 8, 2018.  All are invited to attend.

Donations in memory of Greg may be made to the Sackville Memorial Hospital Foundation or Tantramar Extra Mural Services.
