After a lengthy illness,
Judith Lynn "Judy" Duncan, 69,
of Sackville, passed away at the Sackville Memorial Hospital on
Thursday, January 25, 2018. Born in Sackville, Judy was a
daughter of the late Raymond and Frances (Crossman)
Ward.
Judy enjoyed crosswords and reading a
good book. She loved to joke and enjoyed many a laugh with
her dear friend Carolyn LeBlanc. Judy was a dedicated and
loving wife, mother and nana to Sarah and Rebecca.
She will be dearly missed by her husband
of fifty years, Raymond, Sackville; sons, Darren Duncan (Crystal),
Lutes Mountain, NB, and Bill Lewis, SK; a special daughter, Hedy
Dobson (Rodney), a stepson, Raymond Duncan Jr., ON; her siblings,
Honey (Robert) McFarland, Geraldine Wheaton, Glenn (Pauline) Ward,
Anne Marie (Elwyn) Tower, Bruce (Kathy) Ward, Deanne Ward and Mike
Ward;brothers in law, Bill Dougherty, Ellsworth King, and George
(Linda) Hayward; sisters in law, Audrey (Garfield) Allen, Barb
Chambers, Evelina Tower and Sherry Carter, as well as many nieces and
nephews.
Besides her parents, she was predeceased
by a sister, June; a brother, Raymond, and a brother in law Carmen
Duncan..
Arrangements are under the care and
supervision of Jones Funeral Home, 70
Bridge Street, Sackville (506-364-1300). There will be a
celebration of Judy's life for family and friends at the common room
of Middle Sackville Manor, 342 Main Street, Sackville, NB, 2-4 pm on
Sunday, February 4, 2018. A graveside service will be held
in the Westcock Cemetery in the spring.
Donations in memory of Judy may be made
to the Salem Baptist Church or the Sackville Memorial Hospital
Auxiliary.
