It is with broken hearts the family of Anthony "Tony" Smith, age 75, of Baie Verte announce his passing on Friday, January 5, 2018.

Born in St. Anthony, NL, he was the only child of the late Gordon and Phoebe (Styles) Smith.

Tony loved time in the woods, spending time with his dogs, his toys, and enjoying the outdoors.  He loved a house full of people, especially Socials in the Kitchen.

He will be dearly missed by his partner Ann Lang; children William "Bill", Maccan, NS, Wayne (Solange), Lake Echo, NS, Winston (Judith), Saint John, NB, Wendy (Alan) Crawford, Amherst, and Willis (Susan) Saint John, NB; grandchildren Allie, Steven, Jeysabelle "JC", Brayson, Ryan, Brandon, Jennie, Rachel and Julia; great grandchildren Isaiah and Connor, lifelong friends Jean and Gary Allen, Rod Lucci and Norma Turpin as well as his dog Jackie.

He was predeceased by his granddaughter Alexis.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Jones Funeral Home, Sackville and Port Elgin, NB (506-538-2241).  An Afternoon of Remembrance will be held at Jones Funeral Centre in Port Elgin, 3 West Main St., on Wednesday, January 10, 2018 from 2 to 4 pm.

The family wishes to extend special thanks to the nurses and staff of the Cumberland Regional Health Care Centre.
