It is with great sadness that we
announce the death of Anne Beaman McCabe,
82, of Sackville. Anne passed away at her home on Saturday,
December 16, 2017. Born in Prosser Brook, NB, she was a
daughter of the late Arthur and Frances (Beaman)
Geldart.
Anne was a caring and loving wife and
mother. She taught Home Ec for 6 years. An active volunteer,
she had been chairman of the local literacy council and the Vietnamese
Refugee Committee. In addition, she taught with the adult
night school. She was an avid sewer, and spent many a
Saturday selling at local craft sales.
She is survived by her husband of
fifty-nine years, Colin McCabe, Sackville, two daughters, Katherine,
Dorchester and Clare (Frank Brab) McCabe, Banff, AB and a son Michael,
Sackville; two grandchildren, Kyle and Erik; a sister Shannon,
Hamilton, ON; a brother Andrew (Debbie) Geldart, Parkindale, NB, as
well as several nieces and nephews.
Besides her parents, she was predeceased
by a granddaughter, Erin, and a sister Sheila.
Arrangements are under the care and
guidance of Jones Funeral Home, 70 Bridge
Street, Sackville (506-364-1300). Visitation will be held at
the funeral home on Thursday, December, 21, 2017 from 1 pm until the
time of the service at 2 pm. Interment will follow in the
Sackville Cemetery.
Donations in memory of Anne may be made
to the Parkindale Cemetery, Parkindale, NB or a charity of the donor's
choice.
