It is with deep sadness that the family of Lorna Betty Etter, age 92, of Point de Bute, announce her passing. Lorna passed away, surrounded by loving family, on Saturday, October 14, 2017 at the Sackville Memorial Hospital where she had been a patient for less than three weeks.

Born in Brockhampton, England, she was a daughter of the late Percy and Frances (Griffiths) Bellamy.

She emigrated to Jolicure, NB with her parents, two brothers and two sisters in 1927.  They settled at a farm "Over the Lakes" in Jolicure.  Lorna was the last surviving member of her immediate family.

Lorna was a member of St. Mark's Anglican Church and St. Mark's ACW.  She was an avid quilter, knitter and craft person throughout her lifetime.

Besides her parents, Lorna was predeceased by her husband Donald, sisters Mary Baughan and Joan Stiles, brothers Hastings "Kelly" and William Bellamy (who died as a prisoner of war in 1945), infant son Gordon, youngest daughter Lori Legassick and son-in-law Keith Fury.

Lorna is survived by daughters Marilyn Downs (Bill), Linda Fury, Virginia Tingley (Austin), Rosalie Landry (Edgar), son Stephen (Debi) and son-in-law Peter Legassick.  Also surviving are 21 grandchildren, 36 great grandchildren and 11 great great grandchildren and 4 great great great grandchildren.  Many nieces and nephews were also very dear to her.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Jones Funeral Home, 70 Bridge St., Sackville, NB, from where visiting hour will be held on Wednesday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 pm.  A funeral service celebrating Lorna's life will be held on Thursday, October 19, 2017 at 2 pm from St. Mark's Anglican Church, Mt. Whatley, NB, Rev'd Lidvald Haugen-Strand officiating.  Burial will follow immediately in the parish cemetery.

Lorna's family wish to extend a sincere thank you to Dr. Milne and Dr. Stewart for care throughout the years, nursing staff at the Sackville Memorial Hospital, and to Countryside Residence in Port Elgin for the special care given to her during the past three years.
