It is with sadness that we announce the passing of Yang Tan 谭阳, age 29, of Sackville, formerly of Jinan, Shandong, China.  Yang passed away peacefully on Tuesday, October 10, 2017 surrounded by her family after a year long battle with Breast Cancer.

Born in Jinan, Shandong, China, she was the daughter of Guofu Tan and Zhihui Huang.

Yang moved from China to attend Mount Allison University where she earned her Masters of Science degree.  She met her husband Yanggang Chen while attending Mount Allison University together.  Following graduation in 2013, she remained to work at Mount Allison with the Family Antimatter Group in the Chemistry Department performing Chemistry Research under Khashayar Ghandi.  In addition to her parents, she will be sadly missed by her husband Yanggang Chen of Sackville.  

Arrangements have been entrusted to Jones Funeral Home, 70 Bridge St., Sackville, NB (506-364-1300) where visiting hours will be held on Sunday from 9 to 11 am followed immediately at 11 am with the funeral service.
