After a courageous battle with cancer,
Frederick Isaac Cook, 81, of Sackville,
passed away with his loving family by his side on Friday, October 6,
2017 at the Sackville Memorial Hospital. Fred was a son of
the late Garner and Hazel (Brown) Cook.
Fred was a member of the Canadian Armed
Forces, Combat Engineer Regiment; he was also a member of the
Sackville Lion's Club and the Royal Canadian Legion, Branch 26,
Sackville.
He was a devoted hockey fan and armchair
statistician. Fred loved spending time on his tractor and
was an avid outdoors man who made his own maple syrup. He
has built an intricate network of roads throughout the land behind his
home and named them after his family.
He will be dearly missed by his wife of
57 years, Albina (nee LeBlanc), Mt. View; daughter, Gail (Andy)
Perroni, Whitby, ON, and son, Dale (Maureen) Cook, Bowmanville, ON;
grandchildren, Gabrielle, Spencer, Hailey, Hayden and Clayton;
sisters, Louise Miller; Jeannie (Lloyd) Jones; brothers, Wade (Jean)
Cook, Curtis (Shirley) Cook, and Lawrence Cook; a sister-in-law, Doris
Cook, as well as several nieces and nephews.
Besides his parents, he was predeceased
by his siblings, Kenneth Cook and Gladys Steeves.
Arrangements are under the care and
guidance of Jones Funeral Home, 70 Bridge
Street, Sackville (506-364-1300) from where visitation will be held on
Monday, October 9, 2017 from 2-4 and 6-8 pm. A funeral
service will be held at the funeral home on Tuesday at 11 am with
interment to take place in the Four Corners Cemetery.
