It is with sadness, that we announce the peaceful passing of Gwendolyn "Gwen" Sears, age 81, of Sackville.  Gwen passed away on Wednesday morning, May 10, 2017 at the Sackville Memorial Hospital surrounded by her loving family.

Born in Presque Isle, Maine, she was the daughter of the late Richard and Beatrice (Tompkins) Gulliver.

Gwen worked as Registrar's Assistant at Mount Allison University for almost 40 years.  She and her husband Ernie loved square dancing, music, and spending time with their family.  She was an avid reader, volunteered at the Sackville Memorial Hospital Gift Shop as well as the Ladies Auxiliary of the Sackville Fire Department.

She will be dearly missed by her children Brian (Norma), Wood Point, Karen Sears (Nelson Cabral), Westcock, and Rhonda (Tim) Dean, Halifax, NS; 7 grandchildren, Justin, Jessica, Jordan, Adam, Jasmine, Zachary, and Finnian; 4 great grandchildren, Kaleb, Sophia, Cailyn and Declan; several nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by her husband Ernie in 2015 and her son Randy in 2001.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Jones Funeral Home, 70 Bridge St., Sackville, NB (506-364-1300) where visiting hours will take place on Saturday from 6 to 8 pm.  Gwen's funeral service will be held at Jones Funeral Home on Sunday, May 14, 2017 at 1:30 pm, Rev. Lloyd Bruce officiating.  Burial will follow at the Sackville Cemetery.
