Heather Mildred Simpson, 67, of Sackville, passed away at the Drew Nursing Home on Sunday May 7, 2017.  Born in New Glasgow, Nova Scotia, Heather was the daughter of Roland and Sarah Simpson.

Heather had a real presence at the Drew.  She has been part of the Drew Family since 2004.  Heather enjoyed attending all the activities at the nursing home and loved going to Camp Tignish each summer.  Heather loved to get her nails done and like to get dressed up and wear her jewelry.  Heather had a great sense of humour and took pleasure from the many simple things in life, but in particular, she would savour a cup of Tim Horton's coffee.

Heather was the last surviving member of her immediate family and besides her parents, was predeceased by a sister, Jane.

She will be dearly missed by the staff and her close friends at the Drew Nursing Home, all of whom she considered to be her family.

Arrangements are under the care and supervision of Jones Funeral Home, 70 Bridge Street, Sackville (506-364-1300).  A memorial service will be held from the Drew Nursing Home, 165 Main Street, Sackville, on Monday, May 15, 2017 at 3 pm.  A time of remembrance and fellowship will follow.  Burial will take place in the family plot at the Elmwood Cemetery, Moncton, at a later date.

Donations in memory of Heather may be made to a charity of the donor's choice.
