It is with sadness that we announce the passing of Harry MacMillan Beal, age 88, of Midgic.  Harry passed away on Monday, March 27, 2017 at the Drew Nursing Home, with family by his side.

Born in Midgic, NB, Harry was a son of the late John and Louella (Estabrooks) Beal.

Harry was a great family man and husband, spending 65 beautiful years with his wife Loretta.  A man of many talents, he worked on the Highway, later at Mount Allison University, and helped with construction to provide and care for his family.  He loved spending time in the woods, hunting and fishing, and enjoyed farming and working around cattle and other livestock.

He will be dearly missed by his wife, Loretta (Melanson), Midgic; sons; Roger (Mary Ann), Sackville, Norman (Dora) Sackville, Arnold (Jean Ann), Midgic, Larry (Liz), Midgic, Darryl, Springhill; daughters; Dianne (Raymond) Melanson, Memramcook, Wanda (Don) Beal, Sackville, 15 grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren; brothers Abner (Ruby), Sackville and Raymond, Ontario; sisters Cynthia Richards, Middle Sackville and Daphne Day.  

He was predeceased by eight brothers and two sisters.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Jones Funeral Home, 70 Bridge St., Sackville, NB (506-364-1300) where visiting hours will take place on Wednesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm.  A funeral celebrating Harry's life will be held at Jones Funeral Home on Thursday, March 30, 2017 at 2 pm, Pastor Andrew Swanson officiating.  Burial will take place in the Midgic Cemetery in the spring.
