With great sadness, James and John must announce the passing
of their mother Hazel B. Long of Sackville on Thursday, February 23,
2017.
Born in Midgic in 1920, she was the
daughter of Harry and Mabel (Phinney) Estabrooks.
Hazel was a homemaker most of her life but worked at Mount
Allison University for many years. She loved being with her
husband Ralph as they would enjoy traveling, tenting, time at the
cottage, home parties with friends and darts at the Amherst
Armories. They had friends everywhere and everyone was
welcome into their home.
She will be sadly
missed by her sons; James (Yvette) & John (Brenda), both of
Sackville; 5 grandchildren Jennifer (Duane) Arsenault, Alana (Donnie
Doncaster) Long and Jeffery (Nicole) Long; great grandchildren Drew,
Brett, Trent and Landon; step grandchildren Peter (Angie) and Joe
(Trina MacIntyre); step great grandchildren Emily and Keaghan;
numerous nieces and nephews.
She was
predeceased by her husband Ralph in 1998, sisters Hilda, Rhona,
Barbara and Coreen; brothers Kenneth, Reginald and Norval.
Arrangements are under the care and guidance of Jones
