The death of Carman Arthur Duncan, 79, of Sackville, occurred at the Sackville Memorial Hospital on Sunday, January 1, 2017 after a brief illness.  Carman was born in Sackville, a son of the late Edwin and Madge (Goodwin) Duncan.

Carman had worked at Fawcett Foundry and at the Sackville Cemetery.  He enjoyed fishing and being outdoors.  He loved hot chocolate, barbecues, and spending time with his family.

He will be sadly missed by his wife Wendy Anderson, Sackville; two sons, David (Cindy), Halifax and Brent (Karen), Sackville;  three daughters, Sandra (Greg) Millie, Dartmouth, NS, Shelley (Colin) Duncan, Dorchester and Kim Duncan, of Sackville; twelve grandchildren and twenty-seven great grandchildren; four brothers, Raymond (Judy) Duncan, Sackville; George (Linda) Hayward, Moncton, Reginald Chambers, Ontario, and Ellsworth (Vicky) King, Jolicure; four sisters, Audrey (Garfield) Allen, Sackville; Barb Chambers, Moncton, Evalena Tower, Sackville and Sherry Carter, Amherst, as well as many nieces and nephews.

Besides his parents Carman was predeceased by his first wife, Peggy (McPhee), and a grandson Steven.

Arrangements are under the care and guidance of Jones Funeral Home, 70 Bridge Street, Sackville (506-364-1300).  Family and friends are invited to visit at the funeral home from 7-9 pm on Wednesday, January 4, 2017.  A funeral service will be held at the funeral home on Thursday at 2 pm.

Donations in memory of Carman may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society.
