Mary Cleveland Hicks, age 89, formerly of Hastings, Gananoque and Sackville, NB passed away peacefully at her home in Norwood, ON on Wednesday September 7, 2016.

Mary was the loving wife of the late Charles Hicks (1991).  Mary will be missed by her pet bird "Buddy".  Dear mother of Gwen Summer (Jimmy) of Stirling, ON, Gary McPhee of Prince George, B.C, Allan McPhee of Moncton NB, Shirley McPhee of Peterborough On, Brian McPhee (Lyla) of Calgary, AB, Lois McPhee (Gerry) of Sackville, N.B, Penny Cummings (Dwayne) of Buckhorn, ON, Cindy McMillan (David) of Hastings, ON, Danny Hicks (Julie) of Gananoque, ON, David Hicks (Loreen) of Edmonton, AB, Bonnie Di Pasquale (Mauro) of Cobourg, and Betty Ann Murray (Shawn) of Norwood, ON; Nanny will be remembered by Clifford, Callie, Terry, Shawn, Jamie, Lisa, Danielle, Michelle, Christopher, Jamie, Michael, Sherri, Maryann, Joshua, Jessi-Lyn and great grandchildren Cassandra, Ethan, Sydney, Jakob, Jade and Brody.  Survived by her sister Gwen Delaney of Sackville, N.B.  

Predeceased by her parents Grover & Katherine, two sisters and five brothers.  

Cremation has taken place.  Arrangements in Sackville, NB, have been entrusted to Jones Funeral Home, 70 Bridge St., Sackville, NB (506-364-1300) where her funeral will be held on Wednesday, September 21, 2016 at 11 am, Pastor Hal Lowther officiating.  Following burial in the Sackville Cemetery beside her husband Charles, a reception will be held back at the Jones Funeral Home Reception room. 

Memorial donations may be made to the Louise Temerty Breast Cancer Centre (c/o Sunnybrook Hospital) or the Heart & Stroke Foundation
