Evangeline Belliveau Lemieux Ferrin was called home on Wednesday, July 20, 2016, in Port Elgin, New Brunswick. She died peacefully in her sleep with her beloved son, "Bobby," and her devoted daughter-in-law, Mariette, by her side.  She was born on December 13, 1920, in Pointe-du-Chêne, New Brunswick, to Marcel and Ruth (Gibbins) Belliveau.

Evangeline was a woman of many names. She had three middle names: Veronica, Dora, Mary, after her aunts who were all nuns. She was also known as Lynnie, Ling, Ging, Lynn, Mother, Granny, and GG. Evangeline was a fighter who overcame tuberculosis at age 20 and served as a Nursing Sister during WWII. She had a wonderful sense of humor and was a great storyteller. She loved her family very much and was especially devoted to her grandchildren, Nikki and Danny. We were so blessed to have her in our lives.

Evangeline was preceded in death by her parents; her sister, Ruth, "Boofie," her brother-in-law, Peter St. Onge, and their daughter, Mimi Patterson; her brother, Ferdinand, "Ferdy," his wife, Geraldine; and her two husbands: Yves Lemieux and C.W. "Bob" Ferrin.  She is survived by her son, Bob (Mariette) Lemieux; her grandchildren, Annick (Jerry) Smith and Dan (Sarah) Lemieux; her great-grandchildren, Emily (Matt), Sarah, Paul, Eric, Alyne, Michael, and Elyse; her great-great-grandsons, Emmett and Till; her sister, Judith (Oswald) Leblanc; her nieces, Renee (Len) Bulmer, Margot St. Onge, and Marie St. Onge Davidson; and her nephew, Bernard (Jessica) Leblanc, and many extended family and friends.

In lieu of flowers, the family has requested that donations be made to Special Days Camps, for children living with cancer, in her honor. The address is PO Box 436, Dimondale, MI  48821; 866-448-4710; www.specialdays.org. Also, if at some time during the days to come you think of her, please smile and have either a cup of tea, with milk, or a glass of sherry to remember her by. She would have liked that very much!!!

Arrangements are under the supervision of Jones Funeral Home, 70 Bridge Street, Sackville, NB (506-364-1300).  Honouring Evangeline's wishes, there will be no visitation or funeral services.  Condolences may be sent to the family by visiting Evangeline's online memorial at www.jonesfuneralhome.ca or through the funeral home Facebook Page.
